One of this year’s indie gems was originally planned for release on the Vita and Wii U, but those ports have been cancelled.
In a recent Kickstarter update, indie developer Heart Machine cited health reason for why it would no longer be bringing indie hit Hyper Light Drifter to the PlayStation Vita or Wii U. The developer did promise that those who Kickstarted the game hoping to get Wii U or Vita version will be able to exchange their keys for a different version of the game on any other platform or receive a refund. You can watch the full video update below.
This is unfortunate for Vita and Wii U owners, since Hyper Light Drifter is one of the best indie games of the year. However, the game is already available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Mac, and Linux, so hopefully you can find a way to play this great game somewhere else.
